This class is designed especially for people who have no prior knowledge of screws, tools, or board materials, and for anyone who wants to start with the basics but feels unsure or intimidated to begin on their own.

In this hands-on 3-hour beginner class, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to become more confident fixing and building things around your home. Everything is explained step by step in a relaxed and supportive environment—no prior experience required.​
What you will learn​

Which screwdriver or bit suits which screw

Understanding board materials and their characteristics

Choosing the right fixings and plugs, including fixing into plasterboard

How to safely and correctly use a cordless drill for drilling and screwing

This is a fun, practical, and supportive class with plenty of time to practise and ask questions.

Bring your own tools (optional)​
If you have your own cordless drill or screwdrivers, please bring them along. This allows you to practise with the tools you use at home and gain confidence using your own equipment. ​​​
